Greetings from one of the nation’s top colleges!  Lake Forest is a community of 1,400 students and over 100 faculty who call the College home.  We are active learners who go beyond the classroom experience and recognize engaged learning that may take the form of one-on-one research with faculty, study in a foreign country, an internship in a Fortune 500 Company, or independent study.  Minutes from the shore of Lake Michigan and a mere 30 miles from the bustling metropolitan center of Chicago, the College seeks to attract students from around the world who are looking for that rare combination of a historically beautiful campus and the high-energy and cosmopolitan nature of the city.

We have high academic expectations of our prospective students, and value strong social and community engagement.  Because of our size, a single student on our campus can enact change.  We seek out those individuals who jump into life with both feet and want to actively participate in their education.
